Cast & Crew

Chris Caswell (playwright/actor)

... is a Baltimore native based in New York City and Burlington, VT with BA in theatre and fine art from Fordham University.  She is a member of the physical theatre company The Tennessee Project, Inc. which she joined in 1994 when she played Mrs. Potts in Summer Brave, William Inge’s revision of Picnic.  Chris is one of the original cast and collaborators of The Continuing Adventures of ASHIRA69 (the episodic all-female superhero play), which began in 1996 and has enjoyed numerous productions of five episodes.

In addition, Chris co-wrote the comedy/satire Girls On Top for Found In New York Productions which toured the Canadian Fringe Festival circuit.  In October of the same year, she founded Poison Pixie Productions (named for the ASHIRA69 superhero) to produce her second play Circus Reject Peep Show which toured the US and Canada in 2000 and 2001 as well as the collaborativeRed Hot Cabaret (Winnipeg Fringe 2001), and Escape (Thunder Bay Fringe 2004).

Marianne DiMascio

... began her career “behind-the-scenes” at the age of eight when she designed and stitched an extensive, non-pink wardrobe for Barbie.  Her more recent work has been as a dresser and costume designer for various community theater productions.  Marianne can be seen this spring on stage, alongside Geeda, in Wild Geese written and directed by Vermont playwright Maura Campbell.  She is ecstatic to be spending time with the talented, funny, and caring Heat and Hot Water family.

Seth Jarvis

... is pleased to be a part of Heat & Hot Water Productions’ inaugural show.  A familiar actor on Burlington stages (All My Sons; The Cripple of Inishmaan), Seth has also directed several productions, including The Breakfast Club and his original play, The Once and Future Ubu.  He has been involved in a large handful of local films, both in front of and behind the camera.  For several years, Seth served as co-producer of both The Burlington Poetry Slams and the artsProject VT series.  A published poet – his latest chapbook, manipulate the world, was made available through Michigan’s Wordsmith Press – and popular slam artist, Jarvis received the 2004 Daisie Award for best poet in Vermont.

Geeda Searfoorce (Ben, co-Producer)

... has performed in many off-off-Broadway productions in New York City, including The Golden Apple for Messenger Theatre Company; Benita Canova for Todo con NADA’s Richard Foreman festival; and Wanda’s Visit, Heat, People in the Wind, and Last Chance Texaco for the Chelsea Repertory Lab. She was seen last spring at the Garden State Film Festival in Blue Collar Shirt Production’s Martini’s Shot and will appear in the upcoming indie Knights in Shining Armor. Geeda is honored to be working with the inspiring and talented people who have made MATT & BEN such an incredible experience in her new home state of Vermont.
